Several years ago, I began my first venture into the freelance and entrepreneurial world as an artist. I painted, drew, airbrushed, and pretty much everything in between too. As I started selling prints, I was curious to push the boundaries of how exactly my art was being displayed. No discount to anyone that loves a calendar, but I just couldn’t see myself appreciating something that simple when some pieces took 50+ hrs! Lots of research later, I had crossed off glass printing, gliceé, and even most canvas printing companies. I was frustrated because hundreds of dollars in research materials left me with dozens of duplicate pieces scattering my house – all slightly different colors, ugh!
Finally, I came across metal printing, to be more specific, dye sublimation printing. A process where pigments are mixed with an aluminum surface at high heat to bond, color and create your image. This technique yields arguably the most accurate printing on the market. Image quality between sharpness, color, dynamic range, and implied texture is beyond any other medium I’ve seen.

Each print comes ready to hang with an easy hang wire backing. My favorite way to hang is with Monkey Hooks. These don’t require tools for installation, and removal is simple! No more drywall repair! This makes it easy to change your mind without worrying about wall or print damage!
My preferred mounting style is the 1/2″ or 1″ “Gatorboard” foam backing that come standard with easy leveling rubber feet. My biggest pet peeve is crooked pictures, but these discreet rubber feet help hold even my largest prints level.
Keep It Clean!
A favorite feature of Metal Mouth Prints, as compared to competitors, is the ease of cleaning. Maintaining a sharp, dust-free image is easy with water and grease repellant finishes. A damp microfiber and mild surface cleaner do an amazing job at bringing each print back to looking fresh out of the box.
